John Dehner starred as "Paladin" in the radio version of Have Gun,Will Travel. The TV version, starring Richard Boone, was first seen on CBS on Sept. 14th, 1957. Dapper, black-clad Paladin was a high-priced gun-for-hire. One of the last radio shows and one of the few to go from TV to radio, HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL started its 106 show run on November 23, 1958. These Sunday afternoon shows were radio adaptations of the previous nights TV script with John Dehner replacing Richard Boone.

Gene Roddenberry was one of the writers, a name well known to Star Trek fans.
